Rhys is an actor and filmmaker based in Sydney.

Growing up in Canberra with a love of movies, he studied drama all throughout high school, which led him to pursue a career in acting. During his training at Sydney Actors School he added filmmaking to his passions, first directing the short film ‘Christmas Lunch’ in May 2024, and culminating in his film ‘Second Chances’, which he wrote & directed. ‘Second Chances’ was longlisted by AACTA for their ‘Pitch: Focus’ program before being produced by Sydney Actors School in October 2024. In 2024 Rhys also performed the principal roles of Richard Hannay in ‘The 39 Steps’ (Dir. Claudia Barrie), and John Malcolm in ‘Separate Tables’ (Dir. Shane Anthony & Janine Watson), both of which challenged him in different yet equally exciting ways. Everything he has done in his time at SAS has fuelled him with confidence and excitement to launch into the industry and passionately pursue his career as a multifaceted creative artist.
