Mele is a bilingual Tongan-Australian actress from the Island of Ha’apai.
She moved to Australia with her mother as a child where she was predominantly raised with 7 other siblings. Her father was a music composer who introduced her to the world of the arts through music; this is where her passion for the performing arts began.
In 2013 she became the first ever recipient of the Sydney Actors School Actor Award, an opportunity that has allowed her to train with the nations best teachers. During her training she has worked on After Miss Julie, A Streetcar Named Desire, Fight Club, and Magnolia. She is also a writer who has finished writing her first short film.
