VOICE
Jack graduated from NIDA’s Master of Fine Arts (Voice) degree in 2021, and now works as a Voice Lecturer and Specialist to Acting students at NIDA, ACA and SAS.
Jack comes from a background in acting, having achieved a Bachelor of Dramatic Art at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2010. He is also Dialect Coach for the 2022 Disney touring production of Mary Poppins, Assistant Voice Coach for Bell Shakespeare’s 2022 Players tour, and Voice Coach for SBS Radio podcasters and presenters.
Since graduating from VCA with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art, he has worked across multiple mediums and production companies as a professional performer, spanning the Bell Shakespeare stage to the Neighbours set. His work as an actor has provided him with an enthusiastic and incisive perspective on honest, resonant and powerful performance.
Jack’s classes and sessions focus on embodiment, playfulness and truthfulness through maintenance of vocal health, technical application of skills and the joy of performance. His methodology is grounded in the teachings of various voice pedagogues, and he is instinctively drawn to a teaching style that employs generosity, humour, physicality and text-focus.
