Raechyl French is an experienced voice coach, actor and voice over artist with an MFA: Voice from the National Institute of Dramatic Art and Diploma of Screen Performance from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Raechyl works with corporate professionals and performers to release their instinctive, expressive and inherent vocal abilities. Having taught at NIDA, AFTT (now JMC Academy), Sydney Theatre School, The Actor’s Pulse, NIDA Open and through her private practice, Raechyl offers extensive skills in vocal development, textual analysis and accents and dialect training. Her approach is inspired by bringing joy to healthy voice and speech development through confidence-building, playful and embodied techniques. Raechyl’s focus is to enliven the creative body, mind and voice to support communicative and storytelling excellence. Her training continues with undertaking Knight Thomspon Speechwork workshops, trauma-informed teaching courses and is currently completing Lessac certification requirements.

Raechyl is also an accomplished speech and drama teacher providing training to a broad range of students, from children to adults.  In her acting and voice over career, Raechyl has studied extensively with the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, Les Chantery, Howard Fine, AMAW Sydney, Kim Farrant, Improv Theatre Sydney, Deanna Cooney (voice over coach), a wealth of MEAA workshops and voice workshops provided by Knight-Thompson Speechwork and Lessac Training & Research Institute. Her skills are employed across stage and screen, and her voice over work spans audiobooks, commercials, e-learning and corporate videos. By straddling the pathways of practitioner and pedagogue, Raechyl offers a keen awareness and embodiment of dextrous, grounded and truthful performances.
